Accessibility features have been provided to help you find your way around the website more easily and tailor it to suit your individual needs.


Text Size:

Text size can be altered using the ‘a–’ & ‘A+’ icons one the right side of the webpage. The text size can easily be restored to the default size by clicking on ‘a-’.

Text size can also be altered by browser specific functions. Instructions are included below for ease of reference:

Internet Explorer:

View menu: select Text size and choose your preferred option.
Keyboard: press Ctrl and either + or – simultaneously.

Firefox:

View menu, select Zoom and select zoom in or zoom out.
Keyboard: press Ctrl and either + or – simultaneously.

Safari:

View menu, select Text size and choose Make Text Bigger or Make Text Smaller.
Keyboard: press APPLE and either + or – simultaneously.

Opera:

View menu, select Zoom and choose a magnification factor.
Keyboard: press either + or – .

Chrome:

Menu, select Text Zoom and choose a magnification factor.
Keyboard: press Ctrl and either + or – simultaneously.

Other accessibility features:

Navigating the site with the tab key: you can use the Tab key on your keyboard to move through the links on the page instead of clicking on a link with your mouse. Each link will in turn be surrounded by a thin line. Press Enter to follow the selected link.

Scroll up and down: the arrow keys on the keyboard can be used to scroll up and down the web page. The page up and down keys will also take you straight to the end of the page.

Spot the mouse pointer: in Windows, there is an option to have a circle surround your mouse pointer when you press the Control key.

  1. Click Start at the bottom left corner of your screen.
  2. Select Control Panel.
  3. Click the Mouse icon (if it’s not showing, click Printers and other hardware first, then Mouse).
  4. Click the Pointer Options tab.
  5. Place a tick in the box next to ‘Show location of pointer when I press the CTRL key’.
  6. Click OK to save and exit.
