Here you can find links to the different activities and events available through Carers Centre Newcastle for carers registered with us.
Some of the events are free to attend, many of the events need you to phone and book in advance.
Activities include days out, social gatherings, breaks for carers or events like Carers Rights Day. (see What’s On now)
Currently there are groups run at the Centre that support carers who care for someone who has had a Stroke or has Dementia. We also hold a monthly coffee morning for carers to gain from peer support and receive information from other local organisations. (see What’s On now)
We provide a variety of training for carers. Some examples are First Aid, Confidence Building, Planning for the future. (see What’s On now)
We occasionally hold information sessions for carers. Session can be for a number of reasons, such as providing updates on Welfare Reform or asking carers to feedback on Local Authority budget consultations. (see What’s On now)
Carers Week is an annual event held each June. We usually organise or are involved in events during this week. (see What’s On now)
